Thursday, August 8, 2024 Seabourn announces an extra 2026 Antarctica voyage on Seabourn Venture. This 11-day expedition offers another chance to explore the Great White Continent and is now bookable. Seabourn, renowned for its ultra-luxury cruises and expedition travel, has scheduled an extra departure for its acclaimed Antarctica expedition trips aboard the specially designed Seabourn Venture.

In response to high demand, Seabourn has introduced an 11-day journey from March 10-21, 2026. This new voyage offers guests another chance to explore The Great White Continent in 2026 and is currently open for booking on Seabourn’s official website. “Exploring Antarctica in March offers a unique opportunity to witness the stunning landscapes as they transition into winter.

This period is ideal for observing peak whale activity, with potential sightings of humpback whales and orcas, along with gentoo penguins and Antarctic fur seals,” said Robin West, Seabourn’s Vice President and General Manager of Expeditions . “Our Antarctica expedition voyages are incredibly popular, and we encourage guests to seize this chance to experience this remarkable continent and learn about the historic voyages of renowned explorers James Weddell, Otto Nordenskjöld, and Fabian Gottlieb von Bellingshausen.” From November 2025 to March 2026, Seabourn Venture, alongside its sister ship Seabourn Pursuit, will present a selection of 11-, 13-, and 21-day voyages to Antarctica.

Each expedition includes a pre-cruise hotel stay in Buenos Aires and roundtrip charter flights to Ushuaia, the departure point for these journeys. On every Seabourn Antarctica expedition, guests can enjoy Zodiac outings to navigate around towering icebergs and landings led by the ship’s Expedition Team for walks and hikes through pristine, rarely seen landscapes. Optional activities such as kayaking and submarine excursions will also be offered.

Weather permitting, the itinerary may include stops at notable sites like the picturesque Lemaire Channel, the unique Deception Island with its striking black, grey, and red hues, and Neko Harbour, known for its cold winds, crackling sea ice, and dramatic icebergs. Additionally, guests will receive a complimentary Helly Hansen PolarShield parka, complete with an outer shell and removable insulated puff jacket, and a WaterShield waterproof backpack. Seabourn’s Antarctica expeditions will feature the new ‘Image Masters’ program, a hands-on photography masterclass designed to enhance guests’ skills through intimate workshops.

This program offers in-the-field instruction on composition, camera technique, editing, and retouching, all conducted by a seasoned nature photographer. More information about this program is available on Seabourn’s website. Introduced in 2022, Seabourn Venture delivers the luxurious small-ship experience that Seabourn is known for, bolstered by advanced equipment that supports a wide range of expedition activities led by a 24-person team of distinguished scientists, scholars, and naturalists.

Built to PC6 Polar Class standards, the ship is designed for diverse and remote environments, featuring cutting-edge hardware and technology that enhance its global deployment capabilities. Guests will find nearly 30,000 square feet of deck space, indoor and outdoor areas with almost 270-degree views, and special touches throughout. A 4K GSS Cineflex Camera is mounted on the mast of the Constellation Lounge, capable of broadcasting images from miles ahead on monitors throughout the ship and in guest suites.

The ship also boasts improved Wi-Fi connectivity with SpaceX’s Starlink, providing faster, more reliable internet access wherever Starlink’s services are available. Seabourn Venture, along with the rest of the Seabourn fleet, offers ample space and elegance, eight dining options with gourmet cuisine, and luxurious all-suite accommodations, including two-level Wintergarden suites..
