GLASGOW councillors have backed the plans to introduce a ticket levy on Scots 'mega-gigs' which will see ticket prices take another hike. That motion has now passed and will see the introduction of a £1 ticket levy for major concerts. Now, councillors will be taking the next steps towards putting the charge into action. The party highlighted how putting the charge on upcoming performances from Sam Fender , Kylie Minogue , Olly Murs , Strictly Come Dancing , funnyman Peter Kay, and WWE could raise around £160,000 for other causes.
