MOORHEAD — A new clinic for students and their families is officially open at Moorhead High School's Career Academy. Moorhead Area Public Schools and Family HealthCare held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, Sept. 23.

The clinic will diagnose illnesses, treat minor injuries and provide vaccinations. High school students can get to the clinic using a shuttle system, if a parent gives consent. Middle and elementary school students will need a parent or guardian to accompany them to the clinic.

Family HealthCare officials say the clinic has been a long time coming. "Together, we envisioned a place where every student could have access to high quality healthcare without barriers. Today, I'm happy to tell you that vision has become a reality," said Kory Wolden, the director of operations at Family HealthCare The district will also continue to provide its mobile unit dental services to students throughout the school year.
