The Texan Americana/folk singer/songwriter/guitarist/mandolinist Sarah Jarosz released her seventh album “Polaroid Lovers” at the beginning of this year. She’s earned Grammys in the past for Best American Folk Album, Best American Roots Performance, Best American Roots Song and Best Americana Album. She last played Connecticut in February at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center in Old Saybrook and returns now to the under-new-management-and-name District Music Hall in Norwalk on Aug.

com . “Rox(postroph)y” is a funny name for a tour, but fans of Dweezil Zappa’s dad know exactly what it means. It’s a combination of the titles of two classic Frank Zappa albums originally released in 1974: the solo album “Apostrophe” which contained one his most popular songs “Don’t Eat the Yellow Snow” and the live album “Roxy & Where” recorded mostly at the Roxy club in Los Angeles with The Mothers.

Dweezil, who is one of greatest interpreters of his father’s music, brings these legendary sets back to the live stage on Aug. 28 at 8 p.m.

com . Walter Trout has been an iconic American blues guitarist since the late 1960s. In the ‘70s he played with John Lee Hooker, Big Mama Thornton, Percy Mayfield and Joe Tex and in the ‘80s he was a member of Canned Heat, then John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, but mostly he’s had a solo career.

Trout plays Infinity Hall Hartford on Aug. 29 at 8 p.m.
