The 42-year-old Prince of Wales was visiting St Michael's School in Rowley Regis, West Midlands earlier this year when he was asked to contribute a joke for an audio recording. He said: "I am with the gang here talking about male mental health and I've been asked to produce a dad joke.

.. I'm trying to channel Jack Whitehall, because most of his jokes are pretty dad-like.

" After some thought, William decided to share a joke that Charlotte frequently tells him, reports the Mirror . He warned the children that they would need to participate in the joke, saying: "Knock knock," to which the boys responded: "Who's there? " The father-of-three then delivered the punchline: "Interrupting cow." ", William interjected with a loud "Moo! " The joke was met with both laughter and groans from the students at St Michael's School, a secondary school serving over 1,200 pupils in the Black Country.

Responding to the mixed reactions, William commented: "Yep, that's what I get a lot at home at the moment...

That's the greatest one I can think of, it's clean and broadcastable." Prince William visited the school following an invitation from a student named Freddie Hadley, who wrote to him last year about their mental health initiatives. Captured outside the school, Prince William told Freddie, "I'm here now.

" The video of their meeting has since gone viral, with many on social media lauding the moment. One user commented, "It's absolutely hilarious." while another said: "I hate to say it, but that's actually quite good.

" However, not all feedback was positive; one person admitted, "Am I the only one who did not understand Charlotte's joke? " and another was less impressed, calling the joke "embarrassing". Story Saved You can find this story in My Bookmarks. Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.
