Friday, November 15, 2024 Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Sarawak, highlighted in WTM London 2024, Sarawak’s strategic initiatives to position itself prominently in the global tourism market. Global Tourism Engagement Emphasizing the significance of international platforms, Dato Sri Abdul Karim noted Sarawak’s active participation in major tourism exhibitions, such as ITB Berlin. He stated, “By showcasing our unique offerings on the world stage, we aim to attract a diverse range of visitors.

” This strategy has yielded positive results, with a notable increase in European visitors, including 6,300 arrivals from Europe last year. Promoting Culture, Adventure, Nature, and Festivals Sarawak’s tourism strategy focuses on its rich cultural heritage, adventurous landscapes, pristine natural environments, and vibrant festivals.
