SAOIRSE Ronan wowed on the red carpet at the Dublin premiere over her new film this evening as she made a bizarre revelation. The Irish actress landed on the Emerald Isle earlier this week to promote her latest project The Outrun. Saoirse appeared on the red carpet at the Lighthouse Cinema in Smithfield tonight and looked sensational as she posed for pictures.

The 30-year-old donned a beautiful strappy black vest with flower sequins sewed into it and a black leather midi skirt. The leather skirt was tied with one button at the side and had a large pocket at the front. She finished off the look with a pair of black heels and her statement cropped blonde hair cut.

In the new drama feature, The Carlow native plays Rona, a young woman who returns home to Scotland after recently being in rehab for alcoholism. Saoirse, who recently got married to her partner Jack Lowden in Scotland emphasised that the area "holds a close place in her heart". The newly-weds first met back in 2017 while filming Mary Queen of Scots.

The Oscar-nominated star told The Independent : "Ever since I made Mary Queen of Scots I've always loved Scotland." The Irish beauty also recalled a time when she was filming in Edinburgh as a child for the movie Death Defying Acts. She said: "I remember turning to my mam and we were doing a night shoot and everyone was knackered and I just loved the city so much.

"And I said to her, 'I'm going to live here one day no matter what'." The blushing star highlighted how years later it's "so nice to be able to call it a second home". The Outrun is expected to hit Irish cinemas next Friday, September 27.

The drama feature is based on a memoir wrote by Amy Liptrot and was directed by Nora Fingscheidt. Early reviews by The Guardian has stated the film as "one of Saoirse's greatest performances"..
