Thursday, March 13, 2025 Sandals Resorts International is committing nearly $1 billion to expand its family-focused Beaches brand, aiming to double its all-inclusive presence within the next five years. The company also announced plans to begin construction later this year on the highly anticipated Beaches Barbados. This expansive 600-room resort will offer a variety of accommodations, including king suites and four-bedroom suites, each with private oceanfront balconies and spanning up to 3,000 square feet.
Guests can enjoy a vibrant “Main Street” featuring dining and shopping options, as well as “high-energy family zones” with outdoor performance stages, a sports bar, and an arcade. Beaches Barbados will complement the nearby Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados resorts, further solidifying the brand’s presence on the island. In addition to the Barbados project, Beaches is also converting Sandals Emerald Bay in the Bahamas into Beaches Exuma, and is constructing a new Beaches Runaway Bay resort in Jamaica.
No official opening dates have been announced for these developments. Sandals has officially opened reservations for the 101-room Treasure Beach Village at Beaches Turks & Caicos, set to welcome guests starting March 1, 2026. This new addition will complement the resort’s existing Caribbean, Seaside, Key West, Italian, and French villages, bringing the total number of guestrooms at the property to 858.
