Wednesday, February 5, 2025 San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is marking Black History Month with a vibrant series of events that highlight the artistic and cultural contributions of Black Americans. Throughout February, travelers passing through the airport will experience live performances by renowned Black artists, an interactive photo backdrop featuring inspiring quotes from influential Black leaders, and social media spotlights recognizing trailblazers in aviation and within the SFO community. SFO’s Black History Month celebrations will include live music performances at the Terminal 3 food court rotunda, bringing an energetic and soulful atmosphere to the airport.
The scheduled live performances will be held on the following dates and times: An Afro-Creek Muskogee queer performance poet and theater artist, Ramona Laughing Brook Webb is a distinguished figure in spoken word and activism. She serves as the first-ever Poet in Residence at the UCSF National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health, contributing to initiatives like The Black Women’s Health and Economic Empowerment Initiative and the Black Wellness Hub at the University of California, San Francisco. Through her thought-provoking poetry, Webb addresses themes of identity, resilience, and justice, using performance as a powerful tool for advocacy.
