Saturday, November 9, 2024 Secures a long-term variable lease for a premium hotel featuring 170 rooms in the upper upscale segment. SAMHI Hotels Limited, a key player in India’s branded hotel ownership and asset management sector, has expanded its portfolio by securing a long-term variable lease for a high-end hotel with approximately 170-175 rooms in Hyderabad. The property, initially constructed as an office building along Hitec City’s main thoroughfare, will soon transform into a hotel.
Hitec City stands as Hyderabad’s largest office hub, rich in Grade A office developments. The building, already featuring a substantial built-up area of 270,000 square feet, is set for extensive interior fit-outs led by SAMHI. With this lease agreement, SAMHI reinforces its footprint in Hyderabad, a city known for its vast and rapidly expanding office market.
This addition marks the fifth SAMHI hotel in Hyderabad, joining a diverse range of properties. Once operational, this upper upscale hotel will add 170-175 rooms to SAMHI’s Hyderabad offerings and will be managed by a prominent global hotel operator. In the fiscal year 2024, revenue generated from leased assets made up 13% of SAMHI’s total earnings.
This new transaction is strategically aligned with SAMHI’s goal to elevate the revenue share from leased assets to over 20%, tapping into the benefits of capital efficiency that leased properties provide. This move not only strengthens the company’s financial foundation but als.
