The New Orleans Saints suffered their seventh straight loss in Week 9 with a 23-22 defeat against the Carolina Panthers, and it's clear that the team's fans aren't happy. After this showing, it led to a strong message from star defensive lineman Cameron Jordan. The Saints controlled the action for much of this contest, but the Panthers took the lead late in the fourth quarter thanks to a Chuba Hubbard touchdown.
New Orleans had a shot to get into field goal range, but they ultimately ended up turning the ball over on downs on their final drive. Frustrations are boiling over everywhere, and that includes Jordan, who has not had the sort of season he was hoping for entering the year. With the loss in the books, the longtime Saint took to social media to share an apology to fans for the team's season-long struggles.
We just lost to the panthers...
I love y’all New Orleans truly had higher expectations and the best of hopes for us, y’all deserve it. After starting the season 2-0, winning both contests in dominant fashion, the Saints have been unable to do anything right. They hit a new low with this loss to the Panthers, as they are widely believed to be the worst team in the NFL.
Jordan has no sacks this season, as he's been given a smaller role on defense, which he doesn't seem too happy about. He isn't too happy about losing either, which led to this heartfelt message to New Orleans' fans. © Dale Zanine-Imagn Images With the Saints in a complete free fall, it's fair to wo.
