, a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed. Austin, 24, is coming off a stint with the Birmingham Stallions in the United Football League and spent time in the NFL with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2022-23). ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported the news.
Austin’s signing adds to what could be the most on the Saints’ roster. The Saints have retooled the depths of their wide receiver room this offseason by signing veterans Cedrick Wilson, Equanimeous St. Brown and Stanley Morgan and adding rookies Bub Means (fifth round), Mason Tipton (undrafted) and Jermaine Jackson (undrafted).
Austin, who stands at 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, had 15 catches for 253 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games. He played college football at Notre Dame..
