Sabrina Carpenter is on top of the world right now, having landed number one success with her new album and a sold-out world tour. The 25-year-old singer even joked about helping get the Mayor of New York , Eric Adams , indicted after her controversial music video last year. However, as her Short ‘n’ Sweet tour kicked off, fans have one question on their minds – and it’s not whether or not she’s wearing a wig.
Some have wondered if Sabrina is actually lip-syncing her hits instead of singing live, which has proved especially controversial given the price of tickets . Particularly her performance of popular new track Juno, which includes a different cheeky ‘position’ each night, has been plagued by comments about her vocals. Clearly, Sabrina has had enough of the speculation as she hit back at one video which declared she was only ‘40% singing’ with the rest covered by a backing track.
The TikTok was responding to one comment by user Blossom which asked: ‘Does she ever sing live?’ ‘Hate to say it but 30% lip [syncing], 30% backing track, 40% singing,’ replied video poster Riiano7. The video of Sabrina letting the audience sing along gained huge traction with over 7.8million views, prompting a reply from the Espresso icon herself.
‘I sing live every show 100% would you like to speak to my audio engineers,’ Sabrina commented on the TikTok. Shockingly, the original poster had the gall to respond to that saying they would ‘tell them to lower the back.
