US pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter and Saltburn star Barry Keoghan are said to have split, just weeks after hard-launching their romance . The Espresso hitmaker, 25, and Irish movie star, 31, were first linked last year but kept their relationship relatively low-key and rarely commented on one another publicly until recently. In May, they posed on the Met Gala red carpet together and Sabrina has been singing Barry’s praises in new interviews ahead of her album release and world tour .

Alas, it seems the sweethearts have gone their separate ways – and it could’ve been a bitter breakup. As per reports, Sabrina dumped Barry after growing ‘increasingly frustrated’ with his drunken partying. According to The Sun , they officially split almost three weeks ago due to Barry continuously acting like an ‘idiot’ when inebriated.

‘He has always been a party animal and Sabrina was fed up with his antics,’ a source told the outlet. ‘She is soaring in the charts and is putting herself first as she gears up for her tour next month.’ Split rumours have plagued the hot couple for days now, which Barry seemingly put a pin in just yesterday by liking Sabrina’s latest Instagram post.

However, if insiders are to be believed, both are now free agents once again. Sabrina and Barry first crossed paths at Paris Fashion Week in September and were spotted on a dinner date in Los Angeles in December. It came after Barry split from dental nurse Alyson Kierans – with whom he shares son Brando, two – last July and allegedly told her he planned to go official with Sabrina in January.

Their split was also reportedly caused by Barry’s party animal lifestyle after they argued over his flirting with other women. Sabrina and Barry gave the public a steamy insight into their relationship in June when she released her music video for Please Please Please . In the high-budget vid, Barry plays a convict who keeps getting arrested while his glamorous girlfriend, Sabrina, is humiliated each time he messes up.

Speaking about casting Barry in the role, Sabrina told Vogue : ‘I liked the idea of falling in love with a convict and being shocked and embarrassed every time he commits crimes. ‘I was so lucky to get Barry Keoghan in the video because he is just magic on screen.’ The video sees them canoodling and kissing, giggling and flirting as the lines between their characters and real-life romance become blurred.

While Barry hasn’t given a comment to an interviewer about the nature of his relationship with Sabrina, The Banshees of Inisherin star has regularly left cheeky comments on her social media. ‘Gorgeous’, he wrote underneath a clip from the Please Please Please video, also commenting heart eyes on her album announcement and ‘Feckin Gorgeous (x3) 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨’ under a series of snaps of Sabrina walking in a fashion show. He even got a shoutout in Sabrina’s famous Nonsense outro at Coachella, where she made a risqué reference to that bathwater scene in Saltburn.

She sang: ‘Made his knees so weak, he had to spread mine / He’s drinkin’ my bathwater like it’s red wine.’ Sabrina has remained relatively coy about her own relationship history throughout her career, but has been linked to the likes of Joshua Bassett and Shawn Mendes before. The child star actress – who opened for Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour last year – is also no stranger to singing about her love life.
