Monday, September 9, 2024 Sabre Corporation, a prominent global software and technology provider, has announced a new long-term strategic partnership with InterparkTriple, a dynamic travel technology platform. This partnership follows a recent collaboration between Sabre and InterparkTriple to advance AI-driven technologies in the travel industry. Now, InterparkTriple will also leverage Sabre’s global distribution system (GDS) to broaden its geographic reach and enhance its travel offerings.

Through Sabre’s advanced APIs and vast travel partner network, InterparkTriple will gain access to an extensive range of airline, hotel, and travel content, including New Distribution Capability (NDC) offers. This strategic move aligns with InterparkTriple’s goal to help South Korea attract 50 million inbound tourists annually by 2028. By catering to niche travelers, including “set-jetters” who are inspired by destinations seen in movies and TV shows, InterparkTriple will now have the content and resources to create tailored itineraries, elevating the travel experience for their customers.

This agreement marks a significant step forward for both companies in the competitive travel technology landscape, positioning them to meet the evolving needs of global travelers. “Sabre’s technology is foundational to our growth strategy and will help to ensure we can grow faster than the market, both in Korea and globally, with appealing content that showcases Korea’s unique characteristics,” said Jun Shin, head of InterparkTriple’s travel business group . “We’re confident this will help Korea to fulfil its potential as a tourism powerhouse, making the national goal of attracting 50 million inbound tourists more attainable.

” The company, which unveiled its new identity last June following the merger of travel platforms Triple and Interpark, is set to further develop and expand its K-package tours. With global interest in Korean culture rapidly increasing, the company aims to tap into this momentum by offering curated travel experiences that go beyond the typical tourist attractions in Seoul. By encouraging visitors to explore lesser-known destinations across the country, the company seeks to showcase the diverse beauty and rich heritage of South Korea, creating more immersive and culturally enriching journeys for international tourists.

“We’re thrilled to be working with InterparkTriple on multiple initiatives so we can further expand our footprint in this important marketplace and play an increasing role in South Korea’s burgeoning tourism industry,” said Brett Thorstad, Vice President, Sabre Travel Solutions, Agency Sales and Airline Distribution, Asia Pacific. “You can have the best travel content in the world, but without the right technology partner, it’s impossible to grow in a significant way; it’s fantastic that InterparkTriple has selected Sabre’s GDS to elevate in South Korea and on the world tourism stage.”.
