For this Sabarimala season, which ends with Makara Vilakku in January, the Southern Railway will run special trains between various stations for the devotees of the Ayyappa Swami temple from various states. According to reports, there will be around 26 special trains for devotees from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana alone. Here are the details of a few of the trains.
Telangana - Kottayam trains All these special trains will have First AC, 2 AC, 3 AC, sleeper class and general second class coaches. 1) Kacheguda – Kottayam (07131) scheduled for on November 17 and 24 2) Kottayam – Kacheguda (07132) scheduled for November 18 and 25 3) Kacheguda – Kottayam (07133) scheduled for November 14, 21 and 28 4) Kottayam – Kacheguda (07134) scheduled for November 15, 22 and 29 5) Hyderabad – Kottayam (07135) scheduled for November 19 and 26 6) Kottayam – Hyderabad (07136) scheduled for November 20 and 27 7) Hyderabad – Kottayam (07137) scheduled for November 15, 22 and 29 8) Kottayam – Secunderabad (07138) scheduled for November 16, 23 and 30. 9) Kollam – Secunderabad (07140) will run on November 18 10) Moula Ali – Kollam (07141) will run on November 23 and 30 11) Kollam – Moula Ali (071342) will run on November 25.
Bengaluru - Trivandrum trains 1) Thiruvananthapuram - SMVT Bengaluru weekly special (06083) will leave Thiruvananthapuram North at 6.05 pm till January 28 and reach Bengaluru at 10.55 am (12 services).
It will run on Tuesdays, November 19, 26, December 03, 10.
