Then, in 2020, Blake and Ryan allowed Taylor to reveal Betty’s name to the world via her Folklore album. In her song “Betty,” Taylor namechecks three characters involved in a high school love triangle: James, Inez, and Betty.
Attentive fans quickly realized that James and Inez were Blake and Ryan’s two oldest children, so they theorized that their third, who had been born nine months earlier, was named Betty. Shortly after Folklore’s release, Taylor confirmed this during an appearance on a country radio station. Ryan later told SiriusXM that it was “an honor” for Taylor to reference his children in this way, and that he and Blake “trust her implicitly.

The singer mentions no less than 35 potential names throughout the album, but a month after its release, Ryan confirmed that their little one’s name is not one of them . During an appearance on the Today show, Ryan joked: “We always wait for Taylor to tell us what the child’s name is, and I’ll say this: We’re still waiting.
” And now, 17 months after the couple announced their baby’s birth, Ryan has officially revealed the name of their newest addition. "I want to start by saying thank you to my wife, Blake, who is here,” he said from the stage before the screening.
"I want to thank my kids, James, Inez, Betty, Olin, who are here.” He then joked: “I hope that, if I’m lucky, this moment will be the most traumatic thing — that is, the contents of this movie — that happens in your wondrous life. I love that my entire family is here.
