Wednesday, November 13, 2024 Rural tourism has emerged as a powerful force for regional development and cultural preservation. The 3rd International Summit for Mayors of Rural Tourism Villages and the Forum of “Best Tourism Villages” held recently in Huangling Ancient Village , Wuyuan County, Jiangxi Province, China, served as a dynamic platform for exchanging ideas on how rural communities can thrive through tourism. The event, themed “Exploring Famous Tourism Villages: Hand in Hand for Mutual Progress,” attracted representatives from 16 Best Tourism Villages across eight countries, spanning three continents, as well as travel agencies, media, and tourism experts.

The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) played a key role in facilitating the event, ensuring that these rural stories could inspire broader change.
