There will be plenty of Manchester United players who will hope Ruben Amorim's arrival at Old Trafford can prove to be a catalyst. But perhaps one player who will feel it more than most is Mason Mount. The midfielder has had a stop-start time with the Reds , with injuries limiting him to just seven league starts since his arrival in the summer of 2023.
The England international is now fit again and has already received a glowing reference from his new boss. "I have to tell you I love that kid," said Amorim this week.
