RTE star Kathryn Thomas is celebrating a major milestone with her husband Padraig McLoughlin. The happy couple got married in Kilkea Castle near her hometown of Carlow in 2019. The gorgeous wedding came 17 months after they welcomed their first child together, Ellie, and almost three years after they got engaged.
The couple met in O’Donoghue’s on Baggot Street, with Padraig popping the question in November 2016 in Ballyfin, Co Laois . They went on to have another daughter Grace in October 2021 . Kathryn took to Instagram today to pay tribute to her husband on their fifth wedding anniversary.
The Rose of Tralee host shared some gorgeous wedding photos from her special day, taken at the time by Shane O'Neill of Aspect Photography . The first snap showed Kathryn and Padraig standing at the altar with their first-born Ellie. The presenter also posted some snaps of herself on the special day and she looked fabulous in a low-backed gown by designer Helen Cody, completed with a dazzling headpiece.
She then posted a picture of herself and Padraig kissing each other and another picture of them kissing their daughter on the cheek. Kathryn also posted some pictures with her bridesmaids and groomsmen. She captioned her post: "Five years married today.

Love you so much P." The couple's fans and friends flocked to the comments to congratulate them. Ireland AM star Muireann O'Connell said: "Happy anniversary, Kathryn!" Grainne wrote: "What an amazing day & night it was! Happy anniversary honey xxx.
" Julie gushed: "The most beautiful dress." Rose commented: "Happy anniversary to you both, have a fab day, beautiful pics." Another added: "Such a brilliant wedding can’t believe it was 5 years ago!".
