The Olympics are underway in Paris, France and there are plenty of royals excited to be attending this year. From Denmark's king Frederik and Queen Mary, to Spain's King Felipe and Queen Letizia, and even former Olympic competitor Princess Anne of Great Britain. Keep reading to see all the royals at The Olympics in 2024.

Denmark's King Frederik X and Queen Mary arrived in Paris to meet with IOC President Thomas Bach and his wife Claudia Bach ahead of the opening ceremony for The Olympics. Kign Frederik opted for a navy suit and matching tie for the meeting, which happened to coordinate with Claudia Bach's navy frock. His Australian-born queen wore a striking red MaxMara jumpsuit for the occasion, which usually retails for $2,545 AUD and perfectly matched the shade of one of the Olympic rings which were positioned behind her.

But it was her jewellery that stole the show. Mary was dripping in chic gold jewellery for the occasion, including stacks of bangles on both wrists that totalled more than $76,000 She wore a Dulong Fine Jewellery 'Glory' Diamonds Tennis Bracelet, which retails from €11,010 (approx. $18,267), as well as an Esme Bracelet with Diamonds in Gold from the same brand, which goes for €4,020 (approx.

$6,670). The Danish Queen also sported an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen Love Band 18k Gold with Diamonds Bangle which starts at $US33,500 (approx. $51,232).

The foursome were all smiles as they exchanged greetings and kisses on the cheek outside one of Paris' most famous tourist attractions, the Louvre, before a gala dinner. The royals also headed to the Avenue des Champs-Élysées in the heart of Paris, where they cut the ribbon on the Danish Pavillion, officially opening it to athletes and the public. According to the Danish royal family Instagra, the pavillion will "promote Denmark in the French capital during the Olympic Games" with Danish design, food, health and sustainable solutions being exhibited there.

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium also attended the gala dinner on July 25 in Paris, and it looks like there was an unofficial dress code for royals in attendance. Like Mary, Mathilde opted for a chic white jumpsuit designed by Natan, a Belgian couture and ready-to-wear label that she and her female royal relatives are rather fond of. Her husband King Philippe kept it classic in a simple black suit.

Mathilde is the first Belgian-born Queen of the Belgians, having married into the Belgian monarchy in 1999. She met King Phillipe three years prior in 1996 while playing tennis, though Mathilde wasn't quite a commoner when they first crossed paths. She came from an aristocratic background, as her parents are Count Patrick d'Udekem d'Acoz (1936–2008), a politician, and Countess Anna Maria Komorowska.

Princess Charlene of Monaco also got the pantsuit memo, arriving in a pair of black Alexander McQueen trousers and matching sleeveless top with a long train draped down the side. A former Olympian herself, Charlene looked delighted to be there in Paris for the Games, as did husband Prince Albert II of Monaco. Charlene represented her home nation of South Africa at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, but stepped back from her athletic career after marrying into the Monegasque monarchy.

The princess was also carrying a pricey accessory, a $6,100 'Slim Trunk' handbag by luxury designer Louis Vuitton. Prince Albert wore a simple navy suit with black dress shoes. Spain's King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia looked delighted as they arrived at The Louvre for the gala dinner ahead of The Olympics.

The King wore a simple suit with a red tie - probably a nod to Spain's flag - while Queen Letiza chose a stunning sleevless gown covered in gold detailing. King Willem Alexander of the Netherlands also attended the dinner, however he arrived solo. His wife Queen Maxima did not walk the red carpet with him, nor did his eldest daughter and heir apparent Catharina-Amalia, Princess of Orange, or her two younger sisters Princess Alexia and Princess Ariane of the Netherlands.

Princess Anne visited the British Embassy in Paris on July 24, 2024 to meet with members of Team Great Britian, or Team GB as they're known. The Princess Royal was introduced to athletes by Director of Sports Services, Mark England before they all took to the garden for a photo opportunity. The trip to France marks Princess Anne's first overseas trip since she was hospitalised last month following a horse injury, which left her with a concussion and some memory loss.

Princess Anne, who is president of the British Olympic Association and a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) gave a speech to the athletes taking part in the Paris Games. The royal looked admiringly over the squad as they got into formation for a group photo, no doubt bringing back her own memories of taking part in the Olympic Games. In 1976, Princess Anne became the first British royal to compete in the Olympics, taking part in the equestrian three-day event at the Montreal Games.

The Princess Royal stood in the centre of Team GB's flag bearers, Olympic diver Tom Daley and rower Helen Glover, with the rest of the team postitioned behind them in the garden of the embassy..
