Monday, January 20, 2025 The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) is set to attend the 2025 edition of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, from January 20 to 24. As part of the official Saudi House delegation, RCU will present the milestones achieved in AlUla’s comprehensive transformation into a year-round cultural and economic hub. The Saudi House pavilion, strategically located on one of Davos’ main thoroughfares, will serve as a dynamic space for engaging global leaders, thinkers, and business experts.

The pavilion will showcase how AlUla’s economic growth and regeneration are guided by a diversified, long-term approach to sustainability. This aligns with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s broader vision for inclusive development and innovation. Visitors to the pavilion can explore AlUla’s unique offerings, from its world-renowned heritage preservation initiatives to its economic ventures in agriculture, including date and citrus production.

Handicrafts, in line with the Saudi Year of Handicrafts 2025, will further highlight the cultural and economic significance of AlUla’s artisanal traditions. RCU’s participation at WEF will include several high-profile events and discussions. Ben Hudson, RCU’s Chief Development and Construction Officer, will participate in a session titled “Building Resilient Communities,” joined by global experts to explore strategies for sustainable growth.

In parallel, Silvia Barbone, VP of Partnerships, and Navdeep Hanj.
