Roy Keane has revealed he fancies moving to Switzerland - potentially throwing his future as a pundit for Sky Sports and ITV in doubt. Keane has consistently worked as a pundit since he was sacked as Ipswich boss in 2011, with the former Manchester United captain primarily working for Sky and ITV. However, he has now revealed he is looking to leave the UK soon and a move abroad could lead to him stepping away from his punditry roles.
While visiting Turin as part of The Overlap On Tour , Keane admitted: "In the next couple of years, I reckon I will be moving abroad...
putting it out there." Jamie Carragher then asked Keane where he would consider moving to. "Do you know what, Switzerland, maybe? Switzerland is beautiful," came the reply.
Keane's admission comes after he revealed at the start of the season that he is considering quitting punditry soon. Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, Keane cited the "hassle" of the role and the time he was assaulted by an Arsenal fan while working for Sky at the Emirates last season as reasons why he may quit. "I love football but the hassle of matches, getting to games and the hassle of fans – I was in court a few months ago with somebody head-butting me – do you think I enjoy that side of it? Absolutely not," Keane said "The games are fine.
Getting to the games, parking up, people shouting your name – good stuff, bad stuff – it's a nuisance. Being a pundit in 10 years, not." Keane was headbutted by Arsenal fan Scott Law aft.
