Vadodara: The recent incident of a video showing VMC workers filling potholes while it rains has brought to the fore the pre-monsoon measures needed to pre-empt such a situation. The video shows Sussen Crossroads where the road had been damaged by rain. With the rain taking a break, the civic body had decided to take up work on filling potholes.

Sources said that potholes at this srossroads were also to be filled during this drive. In-charge executive engineer of South Zone, Anup Prajapati, said the work on potholes had begun on Aug 6 and the plan was to complete the work in three days. Visuals of workers filling potholes at the crossroads while it rained heavily have been circulating for the last couple of days.
