Colourful artwork and improved treatment rooms will greet sick young people in Rotorua Hospital’s newly upgraded children’s ward. Health minister Dr Shane Reti opened the the hospital’s refurbished children’s unit on Tuesday, calling it a significant milestone for children and families in the Lakes community. The upgrade was part of a wider $6 million refurbishment, which also included the birthing and perinatal units .
