.. USA Today reports that Octavian Morariu , a member of the International Olympic Committee for Romania, and Mihai Covaliu , president of the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee, will hand the bronze medal to Ana in a ceremony on Friday (August 16) in Bucharest.

USA Gymnastics appealed the controversial decision, but CAS denied the reconsideration , even with USAG claiming they have video evidence of the inquiry that led to the medal getting stripped from Jordan . Following her routine at the Olympics on Monday, August 5th, Jordan was initially given a score of 13.666, but her coach Cecile Landi had filed an inquiry challenging the judge’s decision revolving around a tour jeté full, or split leap, believing that her score was too low.

The judges ended up ruling in Jordan ‘s favor and she went from fifth to third place, winning the bronze medal. Then, the Romanian gymnasts challenged Jordan ‘s score change, arguing that the inquiry was improperly filed. The Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled on Saturday (August 10) that Jordan ‘s appeal was submitted past the one-minute deadline for such requests and therefore should not have been granted.

The next day it was revealed Jordan would lose the medal and it would be awarded to Ana . USA Gymnastics still plans to try and continue appealing the ruling . If you missed it, a star who had a prominent attendance at the Olympics in Paris has a custom bronze gift for Jordan .
