The Taxi Driver actor celebrates his 81st birthday today and his daughter, Drena De Niro , 56, shared a few photos of her dad in honor of his big day. The first showed him in red-and-blue striped swim trunks jumping off a yacht. The second was a short video clip that reveals his impact with the water.

Leandro was found dead by a friend on July 2, 2023, sitting in a chair in his New York City apartment at age 19. His death was ruled an accident, caused by a 'toxic' combination of illicit drugs, including fentanyl, bromazolam, alprazolam, 7-aminoclonazepam, ketamine and cocaine. Meanwhile, De Niro's youngest child Gia, recently turned one-year-old.
