An A-road slip road is set to be closed for resurfacing works. National Highways confirmed that the A23 London bound off slip-road at Hickstead, near Burgess Hill, will be shut to all traffic for two nights later this month. This is so the A2300 can be resurfaced and made safe for road users.

Motorists using the road at this time will have to follow the signed diversions put in place. The road will be open as usual during daytime hours.
A spokesman for National Highways said: "We’re about to resurface the A23 London bound off slip at Hickstead (A2300). To undertake these works safely we’ll need to close the off slip road (A2300) overnight between the hours of 8pm to 6am. "Traffic will be diverted up the A23 London bound carriageway to the next junction to turn around and come back down the A23 southbound carriageway to exit at Hickstead.
