Rimba Sweat announces its shock immediate closure amid the cost of living crisis: 'This is devastating but it's impossible to continue' Popular Sydney wellness haven is the latest business to announce shock closure READ MORE: Popular restaurant announces shock closure after 11 years By Amanda Bechara For Daily Mail Australia Published: 20:18 EDT, 13 August 2024 | Updated: 20:18 EDT, 13 August 2024 e-mail View comments A popular Sydney wellness business has shocked fans by announcing its immediate closure, blaming the cost of living crisis for making it 'impossible' to continue. Rimba Sweat billed itself as Sydney's 'most luxurious infrared sauna and contrast therapy destination', and its three locations were an urban haven for stressed out Sydneysiders. 'It is with deep regret and immense sadness that we announce the immediate closure of Rimba Sweat's three studios - Manly, Neutral Bay and Cronulla,' the announcement online said.

'A series of external factors have placed unsustainable financial pressure on our business, making it impossible to continue operating. Despite our successful trade, economic instability has created unprecedented challenges for our business. 'The combined pressures of exorbitant electricity costs, high rental rates, increased wages and a lack of government support for small business have made it impossible for us to keep our doors open.

' The 'extremely devastated' owners thanked their loyal clientele and notified them that all future bookings were immediately cancelled. The owners were particularly upset as the Manly location had survived the pandemic and the businesses had been busy ever since - but it proved to be no match for the current economy. Fans of the beloved wellness locations were shocked and saddened by the sudden closure.

World-famous for its strawberry watermelon cake, the bakery expanded rapidly in recent years, but will now focus on consolidating its Sydney operations.
