Some filmmakers, like Chris Nolan, concentrate on one film at a time. Others, like Guillermo del Toro and Ridley Scott, have multiple projects in development so they’re ready to go with the one that’s ready when they’re ready. Scott, out promoting “Gladiator II” ahead of its release in a few weeks, indicates his company Scott Free has multiple scripts ready to be filmed by other filmmakers as well as some projects for Scott to personally direct.

He tells : “I know what I’m doing for the next three years. They’re written and ready to go. So now we should be looking for big directors who can handle these kinds of budgets.
