GMB host Richard Madeley was forced to issue an apology to a Coronation Street star on Monday's show just minutes into their interview. Jennie McAlpine, who plays Fizz in the ITV soap, was appearing on Good Morning Britain to discuss her latest storyline, which sees the return of husband Tyrone's ex Alina with his baby son in tow. Introducing the star via video link, Richard pointed out that Jennie had been in the soap for 27 years but a horrified Jennie immediately corrected him, telling him and fellow presenter Kate Garraway that it is in fact 23 years since she made her Weaterfield debut, forcing Richard to apologise.
