Air Canada is returning to Baltimore in 2025, with flights from Toronto launching in May and operating daily. Returning to Baltimore Air Canada is the largest airline in Canada and operates the most transborder flights between the United States (US) and Canada. According to Cirium, Air Canada has upwards of 10,000 monthly flights between the two countries, about one-third of the market share.



The last time the airline operated a flight to Baltimore was in April of this year, but it will make a return in May 2025. As pointed out by Ishrion Aviation on X (formerly Twitter), Air Canada will resume operations to Baltimore in May of next year. The first flight from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) to Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport will be on May 1, while the return leg will operate the following day.

Jazz, which operates regional flights on behalf of Air Canada, will deploy its Bombardier CRJ-900s on the route, capable of carrying 76 passengers. There are nearly 5,000 seats available roundtrip each month, and from May-July, there are a total of 13,908 seats.

In that period, Air Canada plans to operate 183 roundtrip flights. The last time a scheduled Air Canada flight touched down at BWI was on April 1 this year. The flight was from Toronto, and historically, the route was operated year-round.

The route had been served consistently from May 2022 and Air Canada briefly connected Montreal to Baltimore, during June 2022, ending the flights in early July 2022. The flight to DCA is just 12 miles longer than the flight to BWI, at 359 miles. Every month, Air Canada has the capacity to carry nearly 20,000 passengers on this route. The second-busiest route is from Montreal to DCA, with an average of three daily roundtrips.
