The food is as good as the mood at the Taylor & Clay restaurant at the Bullit Hotel in Belfast Chateaubriand at Taylor & Clay Packed with attitude, the Bullitt Hotel is glamorous. The glamour is grungy — the building was formerly a black glass Lubyanka office block with a Formula One shop on the ground floor. Owners Beannchor Group have transformed these eye-gouging sores into shining assets.

So, with a dollop of California nouveau chic froissé mixed in, the Bullitt is also very cool. On the ground floor there’s the intoxicatingly louche Rattle Bag cocktail bar, winner of awards, the airy bar and exterior courtyard and the Taylor & Clay restaurant. There’s plenty of positive buzz, shadowy corners and the kind of informality generated by slow-beat chill soundtracks and people who clearly know how to present themselves nonchalantly.



There is a dude tribe in Belfast which knows exactly how to dress, how to look at you neutrally as you walk by, and what to drink..
