Teacher Shasha Denzlin in a Facebook post recalled that the class rep had asked her on how to deal with Vilkie Wilson’s name in the attendance list.
Vilkie, alongside Heleana Fasha Petrus, 17, and Alasma Jitwil, 14 were the three victims that perished during the incident. “The class rep asked: ‘Teacher, should we put Vilkie’s name as ‘absent’ or how?’ “The whole class burst in tears,” she said. Shasha said as a former teacher to Helena last year, she said she was deeply affected by her passing.
She deemed that the late Heleana was a playful and very hardworking student as she always did her homework. “Then, the intelligent and happy go lucky Alasma, a Draco athlete and my choral speaking (student). She’s always the chatter.
