Tuesday, January 21, 2025 Resorts World Cruises has revealed plans to expand its presence in India with the launch of its flagship cruise ship, Resorts World One , which will homeport in Mumbai starting on March 5, 2025. The cruise line has announced that it will offer a variety of exciting new itineraries departing from the Mumbai International Cruise Terminal at the Ballard Pier Extension (BPX) berth, marking a significant milestone in the development of India’s cruise tourism sector. The Resorts World One will embark on three weekly roundtrip sailings from Mumbai, each catering to different travel preferences.

These include a 2-night weekend high seas cruise, a 3-night cruise to the Lakshadweep Islands, and a 2-night Goa cruise. The cruises will run from March 5 until June 1, 2025, providing travelers with a range of options for both short getaways and extended vacations. Expanding India’s Cruise Tourism Industry The introduction of Resorts World One to India coincides with the Indian government’s “Cruise Bharat Mission,” an initiative designed to develop and promote cruise tourism within the country.



According to reports, the launch of the ship in Mumbai is aimed at positioning the city as the central gateway for cruise tourism in India. This is expected to be a game-changer for the tourism sector, as it allows Indian travelers to embark on cruises from their home country without the need for international flights, making cruising more accessible than ever befor.
