A recreation zone project which is under implementation on Mawlamyine’s Strand Road meets the city’s features and can make the area more attractive, said Mawlamyine residents. A new recreation area will appear when the project, which is being implemented under the supervision of Mon State government, finishes and currently, levelling the ground is in progress and the duration is about a year and half. It will be implemented in diving zones, featuring restaurants, park, playground and public toilets.
“Our Strand Road is left behind others. It is the second step of our city’s development. The first project, Ramanna Park was also successful.
Our Strand Road is the longest in Myanmar. Such development project meets the city’s features and enhances the beauty of the Strand Road. I was delighted and satisfied,” said a resident.
The project will bring an opportunity to improve the livelihood of residents as more job creations will appear when it finishes, he said. At present, visitor arrival to Mount Tuang Wine which is a popular tourist destination in Mawlamyine has been on the rise and residents welcome the new recreation project, Myitkanthar as a new famous destination of the city. – MT/ZS.
