A recent study has revealed that men living in London, Leeds, and Manchester perceive themselves to be the healthiest in the UK. The research, which polled 2,000 men, found that those residing in the capital tend to smoke fewer cigarettes, consume more water, and are more likely to have a gym membership than their counterparts in other cities. Men in Manchester also reported healthy habits, including drinking four glasses of water daily, consuming three portions of fruits and vegetables, and with 40% claiming they can perform 10 sit-ups consecutively without exhaustion.
Additionally, nearly half (48%) of men in Manchester cook meals from scratch, and 64% prioritize getting fresh air. Notably, a significant proportion of men in Leeds (82%) reported never having used a vape. Conversely, men living in Sheffield rated themselves as the unhealthiest and reported hydrating less frequently.
Residents of Newcastle were found to be more likely to smoke cigarettes multiple times a day. The study also identified the top indicators of good health, as perceived by the men surveyed, including high energy levels, low body fat, and the ability to exercise without excessive fatigue.
