The House of Representatives Committee on Public Assets and Special Duties, on Tuesday, queried the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Muhammad Ali Pate, over the joint venture between the Federal Government, May and Baker and other partnerships in the ministry. The Minister is expected to submit the documents on or before November 19,2024 and appear before the committee on November 26, 2024 for defence. The committee gave the directive at its investigation into the activities of BioVaccines Nigeria Limited and other concession agreements aimed at improving healthcare in the country.
Deputy Chairman of the committee, Dabo Haruna, who gave the directive said the minister must submit relevant documents including evidence of advertisement of this PPPs/concession/lease, expression of interest on these leases as well as specific achievements recorded by the Ministry in the period under reference.
