Chidimma Adetshina, the controversial Miss South Africa contestant, has found a new platform to showcase her beauty and talent after being embroiled in a citizenship scandal. The former beauty pageant hopeful has officially accepted an invitation to compete in the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant. Adetshina’s participation in the Miss South Africa pageant was marred by allegations of fraudulent citizenship acquisition, casting a shadow over her eligibility.

Consequently, Adetshina withdrew from the competition on August 8. However, a new chapter opened for her when the National Director of Miss Universe Nigeria, Guy Murray-Bruce, extended a welcoming arm to her. Recognising Adetshina’s Nigerian heritage, he invited her to represent Taraba State in the upcoming pageant.



“We believe that your journey in the world of pageantry is far from over,” Murray-Bruce said in a statement. “This is an opportunity to showcase your talent, grace, and beauty on a different stage.” Thrilled by the invitation, Adetshina expressed her gratitude for the support she has received and her excitement to embark on this new journey.

“I understand the responsibilities and expectations that come with this title and I am eager to represent Nigeria,” she said.
