Regenera Activa, DMark Beauty revolutionize hair care with regenerative medicine

GONE are the problems of hair loss and thinning with the new regenerative solution, crafted and distributed by Regenera Activa and DMark Beauty Corp.The new Rigenera technology utilizes the Autologous Micrograting Technology (AMT), wherein micrograft solutions are obtained from the patient's body, containing healthy progenitor and multipotent stem cells. Regenerative cells are extracted from the micrograft through the regenera protocol. These cells are injected in areas with impaired tissue, which help create healthy cells in that area."What we want to do with regenerative treatment is to renew the cells and heal the problem," Aesthetic Doctor Halah Taha says.In androgenetic alopecia (AGA), commonly known as hair loss at the top and in front of the scalp, AMT signals the creation of healthy hair follicles at the specific area, where symptoms appear by introducing healthy progenitor cells from the patient, normally acquired at the specified donor area at the back of the ear.Since the solution is obtained from the patients themselves, there is a reduced risk, making it highly safe, painless and minimally invasive. The donor area is also hormone protected. So, even patients with hormone-related disorders such as polycystic ovarian syndrome can be assured of its safety. In this way, AMT restores the natural hair cycle with the influence of healthy cells, stabilizes the scalp, reduces shedding, decreases recovery time and fully regenerates the body's ability to produce healthy hair.Compared to available hair loss treatments in the market such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), hair transplant and hair mesotherapy, AMT is a more viable option because it only requires a 30-minute session of treatment compared to multiple sessions of other treatments.Furthermore, Taha says there have been no side effects so far with the administration of the treatment. Improvements in hair thickness, diameter and general hair quality from patients, who have undergone this treatment, have been observed after 3 to 6 months.Taha adds that the treatment can be applied to different types of hair loss, commonly genetic hair loss such as AGA, hormonal imbalance, stress and other lifestyle related factors. However, the former two are more common since they are resistant and chronic, needing constant treatment.For people with chronic hair loss, the treatment can be administered once a year or as needed."The most important thing to understand [is the] reason for our problem in order to address the conduct of treatment," Taha says.Taha adds that patients do not necessarily need to show immediate symptoms of hair loss to acquire the treatment as it can be used as a preventive measure. The AMT can be administered to anyone of any age although there may be some age restrictions depending on the country, but Taha says the treatment can likely be administered to people 18 years old and above and to minors, who have parental consent."We have three stages for females and around seven to eight stages for males. If we are in very early stages and [you're] seeing something on your hair that is not like before — maybe 5 or 3 years — we can do this as a preventive. If you have an existing issue, you can do this also as treatment," says the aesthetic doctor.Despite that, patients should still be aware of the limitations of the treatment toward certain hair loss types such as telogen effluvium and alopecia areata. Telogen effluvium is characterized by rapid shedding of hair that's mainly due to stress. The treatment may cause more stress to the scalp, possibly aggravating hair loss than alleviating it.On the other hand, alopecia areata is an autoimmune disorder, characterized by bald spots in the scalp. Its cause cannot be treated by regenerative means.The treatment is also not a permanent solution, and patients will have to exert effort to maintain it. Patients with genetic hair loss may see it again after treatment, which is why they are advised to undergo it once a year. Over time, the ability of the cells to heal and regenerate will grow stronger, lessening the gap between treatments.Patients can also use vitamins such as biotin to maintain a healthy hair as well as topical creams. They can also opt for treatments such as PRP and combine it with AMT.Currently, there are a number of aesthetic and dermatological clinics and hair experts that administer this treatment. Nikki Tang, DMark Beauty Corp. chief executive officer, says the treatment may be available to select plastic surgeons in the future.More research and development technologies are being developed by Rigenera, particularly treating stretch marks, vitiligo, heart health and orthopedic applications. Tang and Taha call this process "the new frontier of medicine."Taha concludes: "I think doctors should invest in this because this is the new medicine. This is what the world is going and this is also better for us because it does not use anything from outside; nothing is made from chemicals. If we are able to achieve some results, either for dermatology or other fields, and it's really good and effective without any manipulation or adding anything, everyone would be happy."
