Wednesday, August 21, 2024 RedRail, the rail ticketing service powered by redBus, is excited to unveil its new initiative, “Sound of Nation.” This innovative crowdsourced project captures the iconic and nostalgic sounds of Indian trains, contributed by redRail users, and blends them into a unique musical piece. This composition, produced internally, will be available on redRail’s YouTube and Instagram channels.

As the backbone of the country, railways hold immense significance, and “Sound of the Nation” serves as redRail’s homage to their crucial role in India’s freedom movement and their ongoing impact today. Drawing inspiration from the iconic and instantly familiar sounds of India’s railways—such as platform announcements, the rhythmic clatter of trains, the calls of tea vendors, and the lively chatter of passengers—the “Sound of Nation” campaign captures the rich and evocative auditory landscape of Indian train journeys. In this unique initiative by redRail, users were invited to share sounds that best represented the essence of railways for them.



The “Sound of Nation” medley seamlessly blends these crowd-sourced railway sounds into an Indian electro-fusion track, offering a fresh and innovative take on a timeless symbol of national unity. At the heart of the “Sound of Nation” campaign is a celebration of India’s deep-rooted love for trains and their crucial role in creating unforgettable travel experiences.
