A teaser image for Irene's solo debut album "Like A Flower" / Courtesy of SM Entertainment By Lee Gyu-lee Irene of K-pop girl group Red Velvet is gearing up for her solo debut after 10 years in the music industry, unveiling teasers for her upcoming album "Like A Flower." The singer's agency, SM Entertainment, shared teaser images of "Like A Flower" on the group's social media on Wednesday, showing Irene immersed in water and standing in the middle of a hazy forest. The new album, set to release on Nov.

26, will feature eight tracks. The title track of the same name is a pop dance genre song that uniquely combines soft, dreamy sounds with bright and upbeat Afro-inspired rhythms. "The combination of wistful and addictive melodies contrasting with the (upbeat) rhythm is expected to receive a positive response from listeners," the agency said.

"The lyrics particularly have a message about facing life with small courage and blooming beautifully like a flower with vitality. In the latter part, the piano and synth sounds (are layered) to build up for the hook lyrics 'I'm alright,' amplifying the overwhelming emotions." The new album will become available on streaming platforms at 6 p.

m. on release day and is currently open for preorders. Irene is the fourth member of the K-pop quintet to make her solo debut, following Wendy, Joy and Seulgi.

She previously formed a unit called Red Velvet — IRENE & SEULGI from the group, alongside Seulgi, and released the mini-album "Monster" in 202.
