Oklahoma City's chef Kevin Lee stayed strong, surviving another week of tough competition at Food Network's "Last Bite Hotel." He'll return for week three of competition at 8 p.m.

Tuesday with his fellow remaining chefs to take on a new set of challenges in an attempt to impress a brand new VIP guest. But what happened during the last episode and did Lee come close to going home? Read on for my weekly recap. This week's episode opened with the reminder that Gabriella Baldwin had been eliminated, but her ingredients remained.

Her team captain from last week's challenge, Tobias Dorzon, was named the sole executor of her will and given power to assign ingredients from Baldwin's trunk to fellow chefs in the competition after picking what to keep for himself. Dorzon is seen in the episode asking each competitor what ingredients they prefer, beginning with Lee. Lee mentions having his eyes on Baldwin's leftover duck and burrata, and ends up receiving the duck but not the cheese.

In seeing Dorzon's chats with other competitors, chef Nini Nguyen begins some planning of her own with Lee and chef Brittanny Anderson, forming an alliance with the goal of helping each other reach the end of the competition. However, that plan was immediately disrupted when the trio was split onto opposing teams for the group cook. For the team cook, Lee was paired with Byron Gomez and Aarthi Sampath in a challenge to cook a steak feast for VIP guest, Michelin-trained chef and "Potato Queen" Poppy O’Tool.
