Anjali Schmuck, who was a contestant on Supermodel of the Year, is currently winning hearts with her stint on Reality Ranis of the Jungle. Based on the Dutch show Echte meisjes, the adventure-based reality show is produced under Warner Bros Discovery and is hosted by Varun Sood. It premiered on Discovery Channel on September 23, 2024.
Reality Ranis features 12 female contestants surviving in the wild. Times Now/ Telly Talk India recently got a chance to interview Anjali Schmuck who told us her experience shooting for the show, the gross things she ate, living without luxury and much more. Excerpts from the conversation: From Supermodel Of The Year To Reality Ranis Of The Jungle, how did this transition happen? I am from a fashion industry.
I never come on camera without makeup or looking funny. However, since my childhood days I had loved Discovery so when I got the offer, I took it. I was very excited and so were my family.
I had expected that we will build tents, light fire, cook food and do cute stuff. I didn't know we'd be fighting each other. When we reached the sets, we lost all our clothes.
I had two change of outfits, no makeup and no tooth brush. I have never seen myself like that but I am happy that the audience will get to see the real me. There's so much else to me.
