South Africa’s legendary actress, Connie Chiume died on August 6, and among the many South Africans who gathered on Thursday for her funeral was renowned artist, Lebani Sirejenje, popularly known as Rasta . During the service, which was held at the Oasis of Life Family Church in Daveyton, Rasta showcased his work of the late “Gomora” actress. Rasta is no stranger to honouring fallen South African celebrities, in fact, he is popularly known for his differently different portraits which gain a lot of attraction because of their how they look.

Some of our fallen celebrities which Rasta had honoured in the past with his “interesting” artwork include the late singer and songwriter, Bulelwa Mkutukana - popularly known as Zahara -who died in 2023. A post shared by Rasta the Artist (@officialrastatheartist) Zahara’s portraits gained a lot of attention from social media users, as some felt that Rasta’s depiction of Zahara was incorrect and rather odd. Rasta also recently paid tribute to the late Ambitious Records artist, Bokang Moleli - popularly known as Malome Vector - who was involved in a car accident and died on July 24.
