Raquel Diaz , one of the three daughters of Eddie Guerrero followed his path and ventured into sports. However, she recently opened up in an interview about how the high-pressure environment and the standards of physical attributes expected took a toll on her well being. In a recent interview with Developmentally Speaking, Diaz opened up about facing an eating disorder while she was training for WWE .

She also spoke about how having existing eating disorders previously only made it harder to cope with the pressure. She went into detail to describe how there was existing toxicity in the way women in WWE were perceived. Diaz added that the physical attributes of a woman would largely dictate the route her training would take.

Speaking to Developmentally Speaking, she revealed that while women trained for the same hours as their male counterparts, by the end of the week they would have to do bikini competitions instead of wrestling. She shared, “I had a lot of demons in my younger life and I still do now. We were still the 'let me up' match, we were still doing bikini contests instead of wrestling, we were still doing dance contests instead of wrestling.

" Speaking about her eating disorders, she added, "I think, with having an eating disorder — pre-existing eating disorder — I think just fanned the flames." Raquel then went on to recall that during that time, they were marketed as ‘the most beautiful women in the world.’ However, she expressed that it was a learning curve and that, "So, I'm happy how it happened.

I grew up; I think WWE had me grow up in a lot of ways." Diaz also went on to describe, "Sometimes you're not the look, and sometimes you're not what they're looking for and that's just like, 'Eh, c'est la vie, it's showbusiness, baby.'" She further added, "You know, you're not thin enough –- or for me, like a mid-size person, who — I'm not particularly very thin, and I'm also not so like tall or super, super buff or fit.

You were either the model or you were the monster." Raquel Diaz had big shoes to fill for her father Eddie Guerrero, many fans had wanted her to rise to the occasion. However, Diaz believed that she could never live up to her father’s legacy, because there couldn’t be another Eddie Guerrero.
