Rapper Flavor Flav continues to show his support for Team USA, unveiling a bronze clock necklace he made for gymnast Jordan Chiles. The 65-year-old, who is famous for wearing giant clock necklaces, made sure Chiles did not leave the Olympics without a bronze piece of hardware after she was officially stripped of a bronze medal for her gymnastics floor routine during the Paris Olympics final on Aug. 5.

In response, the former Public Enemy rapper dedicated a bedazzled bronze clock necklace in place of the medal, posting a video of the item to social media. Since the CAS ruling, Chiles announced through her Instagram stories that she was taking a break from social media, citing her mental health. Chiles’s mother, Gina, expressed her appreciation to Flav and reassured him that his gift would end up in her daughter’s hands.

“USA Gymnastics was notified by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on Monday that their rules do not allow for an arbitral award to be reconsidered even when conclusive new evidence is presented,” it said. Chiles initially received a score of 13.666 on her routine, placing her fifth before her coach called for an inquiry and review, giving her a total score of 13.

766. As a result, her Romanian competitor challenged her placement arguing the judging panel improperly increased her score, moving Chiles to the bronze medal position. When that decision was reversed, Chiles’s team posted: "We are deeply disappointed by the notification and will continue to pursue every possible avenue and appeal process, including to the Swiss Federal Tribunal, to ensure the just scoring, placement, and medal award for Jordan.

” Meanwhile, Flav is no stranger to backing Team USA. The rapper currently serves as the official women’s water polo sponsor. He signed a five-year deal with the team after captain Maggie Steffens sought financial help from the public.
