The first all-electric is almost here. Although its official debut is just around the corner, the Range Rover Electric has already secured over 48,000 clients on the waitlist. After announcing for fiscal 2025, Jaguar Land Rover announced its upcoming EV is already generating hype.

JLR said it “currently has over 48,000 clients on the waiting list for Range Rover Electric.” The company added that it would be the first of its next-gen zero-emission luxury EVs under its umbrella of brands. The latest update comes after JLR announced Range Rover’s first EV was “generating strong interest,” with in February.



By June, reservations had more than doubled to over 38,000. In August, JRL said the new EV had waiting. At the end of October, Range Rover’s first electric SUV had secured over 48,000 on the waitlist.

The announcement came after JRL saw global sales rise 29% YOY in the first half of fiscal 2025. The company said the growth was due to higher demand for its plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), with global PHEV sales up 47% YOY. According to JLR, its customers are using PHEVs “as a stepping stone towards battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
