UNDER Governor Chris Sununu’s leadership and pro-gun policies, New Hampshire is thriving. The Granite State was recently named the safest in the nation, thanks in large part to the ability of law-abiding citizens to protect themselves and their families from dangerous criminals. While the state enjoys this luxury for now, the public safety landscape of the state could quickly change if Manchester’s failed Mayor, Joyce Craig, is elected to the corner office.
Throughout her campaign, Joyce Craig has backed the full slate of extreme gun-control measures, including banning commonly owned firearms, gun confiscation programs, instituting arbitrary waiting periods for firearm purchases, implementing “Red Flag” laws, and allowing individuals to sue gun stores and manufacturers out of business. If implemented, these laws would drastically change the public safety and economic landscape of New Hampshire. Time and time again, these gun control laws have failed the states that have implemented them.
Banning and mandatory confiscation of commonly owned firearms ensures that only law-abiding citizens do not have access to them. Waiting periods block victims in urgent need of self-defense the ability to protect their families from an imminent threat. “Red Flag” laws give the government the ability to strip citizens of their constitutional rights without real due process protections.
