Rajinikanth was recently admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai after complaining of ill health. However, after treatment, he has now been discharged from the hospital on October 3, 2024. The veteran actor took to his X account and shared an emotional note thanking his fans and fellow industry actors for checking up on him.

For unversed, an official bulletin released by Apollo Hospitals on October 1 revealed that Rajinikanth had a swelling in the main blood vessel leaving his heart (aorta).
The hospital revealed that the actor was treated with a non surgical treatment with transcatheter method. The statement shared by Free Press Journal said, "A stent was placed in the aorta completely sealing off the swelling. The procedure went as planned.
